    8.31.12 3:30pm EST – Data Connectivity Issues 

    5:45pm EST A small number of accounts remain offline due to a hardware-issue caused by the power incident, however the majority of accounts originally affected – those not on affected hardware – are now back online and have been since shortly after 4pm EST.

    4:00pm EST A loss of power at the datacenter occurred, however, power has been restored and servers are being brought back online.

    3:30pm EST We’re aware of an issue impacting our upstream provider for servers situated in the Newark, NJ datacenter causing connectivity and outages for customer applications housed on these servers.

    8.19.2012 – phpmyadmin.wpengine.com – Maintenance 

    We are in the process of moving phpmyadmin.wpengine.com to different resources, and as a result, there will be intermittent connectivity for access into phpmyadmin.wpengine.com today (August 19, 2012). We expect the move to go quickly, taking only as long as it takes to have DNS propagate for the A record update to phpmyadmin.wpengine.com. Once the DNS update has been made, an update will be posted here.

    Update 12:09 PM EST: we’re making the DNS switch now for phpmyadmin.wpengine.com…

    my.wpengine.com Scheduled Maintenance 8.9.12 6am to 6:45am EST 

    The my.wpengine.com customer portal will be down for maintenance beginning tomorrow, August 9th, 2012 at 6am EST and lasting until around 6:45am EST. We will post a status update here once the maintenance has been complete.

    UPDATE: Scheduled maintenance has been complete and my.wpengine.com is functioning properly.

    DDoS Attack Status Update 

    3:32 pm EDT – We have begun reaching out to those affected with a new IP address to point their domain name to.

    11:40 am EDT – We are still in the process of configuring firewall/load balancer settings for the new IP address as well as getting setup with our DDoS mitigation provider.

    10:18 am EDT – We are have received a new IP address and are in the process of working with our DDoS mitigation provider as well as making necessary network and firewall configurations for this new IP address.

    9:20 am EDT – We are currently working with our upstream provider to obtain a new IP address in order to retain a DDoS mitigation service to protect/defend against these types of attacks. We will be reaching out to affected customers directly momentarily with an update and next steps. We will continue to post status updates on this post.
