    Intermittent Connectivity Issues [Resolved] 

    Some of our customers may be experiencing intermittent connection issues. The issue is described from our datacenter as follows:

    A subset of routes towards the Newark datacenter are currently experiencing periods of high packet loss. The issue appears to be upstream of our network, and we are working with our upstream provider to isolate and resolve it.

    Further details will be posted here as they become available.

    22:25 (EST): Our upstream provider is still investigating the issue at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. (http://status.linode.com)

    02:30 (EST): Our upstream provider has resolved the issue at this time, and our testing confirms that routes to and from the Newark datacenter no longer appear to be experiencing any issues. We’re continuing to monitor the situation to ensure this is the case; if you are still experiencing issues with routing towards the Newark facility, please let us know.

    This issue has been fully resolved at this time. Please submit a ticket at http://help.wpengine.com/ if you are still experiencing issues, and our Engineers will be happy to assist you.

    Pod Outage 12/3/2012 [resolved] 

    Hello,

    We are currently experiencing some downtime on a small portion of our customer’s sites. The outage is reported to be in excess of 30 minutes total so far. We are currently awaiting more information from our data center. As soon as we have more details, they will be posted here.

    UPDATE: We had received notices of emergency maintenance on a few servers, however the servers are back up and running as of now.

    Total downtime:
    For 1288 – 1 hour, 7 minutes…
    For the others in the list (1305, 1304, 1289, 1280, 1272) almost 30 minutes.

    The explanation from our service provider Linode was that the host encountered a software issue that caused improper operation. The issue has been identified and resolved to prevent further downtime.

    my.wpengine.com Scheduled maintenance 11.8.2012 2am to 2:45am CST 

    The my.wpengine.com User Portal will be offline starting on November 8th at 2am and lasting until 2:45am CST. We will post a status update here once maintenance is complete.

    User Portal Back Online

    Emergency Maintenance has been completed! 

    We have successfully resolved the issue regarding the hardware failure and all sites affected are back up and running as normal!

    Update to emergency maintenance 9/27/2012 

    The cause of the emergency maintenance is due to a hardware failure. As a result, drives are being transplanted to separate, known-working standby hardware which we keep available in case of events such as this. We will continue to update this server’s status here as more information becomes available.

    Emergency Maintenance 9/27/2012 

    Our datacenter is currently undergoing emergency maintenance on the node housing pod-1250.wpengine.com which is affecting a small amount of sites. They are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.
